Make sure the water and ice from your refrigerator is as clean and fresh tasting as possible by replacing its water filter. This Whirlpool PuR water filter is used in Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, and JennAir side-by-side refrigerators with filter access in the base grille.

It's NSF-certified to reduce cysts, particulates (class I), asbestos, lead, mercury, and more. (The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water filter are not necessarily in all users' water.) While it effectively removes contaminants from your water and ice, this filter also lowers the taste and odor of chlorine while retaining beneficial fluoride.

For the highest quality water and ice, your refrigerator's water filter needs to be changed over a period of time as its effectiveness at cleaning the water is reduced. For optimal results, you should replace this refrigerator water filter every 6 months to ensure clean, safe drinking water and ice.

Your refrigerator will even remind you when to change its filter, turning on an indicator light found near the water dispenser. Changing the filter is easy--just locate the old filter, twist and turn it until it becomes loose, then pull the old filter out and replace with the new filter.

Replacing Your Water Filter

For side-by-side refrigerators with filter access in the base grille, follow these instructions for replacing your filter:

1. Push the eject button, then pull the filter cap. Do not twist cap.
2. Remove the filter cap by turning it counter clockwise. Set aside cap. Discard old filter.
3. Remove the packaging and O-ring covers from the new filter.
4. Align arrows on the cap and new filter. Turn clockwise to snap in place.
5. Push filter into the base grill until the eject button pops. Gently tug on cap to ensure it is snug.
6. Flush the water system until a total of 3 gallons (12 L) has been dispensed.

And we will go ahead and install this on a typical 2-inch receiver hitch and show you how it works. To show you how to convert this to a 1-1/4 inch receiver, it is pretty easy. This bushing is basically a press-on fit. So you can just take a screwdriver and just kind of pry it away a little bit and it comes apart. And there you have it, it is ready for a 1-1/4 inch receiver hitch. Next we will go ahead and install it on a typical 2-inch receiver hitch. When you install it in the receiver hitch you actually have two options. You actually have two threaded holes in the shank to go ahead and install your hitch bolt to go into it. You have about a 2-inch difference between the two holes, so you have enough room between different hitch and bumper combinations. Just take your hitch bolt and it just threads right in. And let us go ahead and tighten it down - use a three-quarter wrench. And then you can install your safety pin on the other side. Next we will show you the tilt feature of this bicycle rack. If you're taking your bike along for the ride than this is the bike rack for you and this is one will keep it secure. Corrosion resistant aluminum construction makes this expandable bike rack lightweight and easy to use. This bike rack comes equipped to hold two bikes, however a third bracket can be added by ordering part # BR1. This bike rack works great with all bed liners and bed sizes because of its telescoping nature. As you can see by the telescoping design, it will expand pretty easily. Again we're using a smaller truck here but it can easily go up to a full size pickup. To do that, we push this button down and you can see we have a fair amount of adjustment on the width of the truck. Also about the brackets there's infinite adjustment on those too, these brackets clamp on to the telescoping rod itself. These two set screws hold everything in place. Also there are security features involved with the bolts themselves. It's somewhat hard to see, but these are torque bolts and they have a little pin on the inside that keeps someone from using a conventional torques threading and possibly stealing the bike.
