The Thule Roadway 4 Bike Hitch Rack raises the bar for performance, convenience, and ease. Thanks to its Stinger Swinger, this rack fits both 2- and 1 -inch hitches right out of the box, making it easy to switch between vehicles. Thule's Hitch Switch mechanism takes advantage of dual quick-release levers to make it simple to connect and remove the Roadway Rack. The T3 cradles secure up to four bikes while still allowing complete adjustment along the bike arm. For added security, pick up Thule's No Sway Cage, STL2 hitch lock, and 538 Cable (sold separately). Today we are going to show you part number A30404 from SportRack. What we have here is a folding 4-bike carrier for 1-1/4 inch and 2-inch receiver hitches. And this model is the SportRack Escape 4. And we will go ahead and install this on a typical 2-inch receiver hitch and show you how it works. To show you how to convert this to a 1-1/4 inch receiver, it is pretty easy. This bushing is basically a press-on fit. So you can just take a screwdriver and just kind of pry it away a little bit and it comes apart. And there you have it, it is ready for a 1-1/4 inch receiver hitch. Next we will go ahead and install it on a typical 2-inch receiver hitch. When you install it in the receiver hitch you actually have two options. You actually have two threaded holes in the shank to go ahead and install your hitch bolt to go into it. You have about a 2-inch difference between the two holes, so you have enough room between different hitch and bumper combinations. Just take your hitch bolt and it just threads right in. And let us go ahead and tighten it down - use a three-quarter wrench. And then you can install your safety pin on the other side. Next we will show you the tilt feature of this bicycle rack. If you're taking your bike along for the ride than this is the bike rack for you and this is one will keep it secure. Corrosion resistant aluminum construction makes this expandable bike rack lightweight and easy to use. This bike rack comes equipped to hold two bikes, however a third bracket can be added by ordering part # BR1. This bike rack works great with all bed liners and bed sizes because of its telescoping nature. As you can see by the telescoping design, it will expand pretty easily. Again we're using a smaller truck here but it can easily go up to a full size pickup. To do that, we push this button down and you can see we have a fair amount of adjustment on the width of the truck.
